I was running along the Thames this week and I noticed this sign taped to a container.
As content design has been rooted deep within my brain, I couldn’t help but look at it from that perspective.
The heading could do with some refinement:
Potentially, you could elaborate on the ‘marine spill kit’ instructions; I imagine these remain quite static and don’t change often, so I’d be interested to work out how you could integrate them into these steps. I also think you should give a number for the ‘Yardmaster’, or directions to where you could find them.
It gave me what I needed to know if I did spill diesel or petrol though, so I’d say it’s about a 6/10.
The content design training deck I’m putting together for the digital team has really formed up nicely. I’m excited to show it to some colleagues and get a few more final thoughts on it.

I had a good meeting with some NETWORK colleagues where we talked about alternative methods of communicating fund guidelines and I got excited thinking of the possibilities. It was quite a conducive conversation and they were eager to hear more about the user survey I’m planning for fund applicants.
On that last point, I have a meeting this week with all the relevant parties to discuss the user survey for fund applicants! Really looking forward to it and hoping it’ll be fruitful and there’ll be more meatier updates on that next week.
I missed loads of cute pet pictures because I wasn’t aware we had to go back to Slack for it.
I still feel myself falling behind when it comes to thinking about the future, even with OKRs and roadmaps being formulated I struggle a bit.
Watched the Lionesses draw with Sweden at Wembley which was disappointing, great seats though. And a 60k+ attendance, which was phenomenal. I’m really glad that girls and women are finding more space to fit in.
