27 May to 2 June

On Saturday, I woke up at 6am, ate this disgusting cherry cola flavoured pre-workout gel, put my electrolyte tablets in my pocket and ran 10 miles (16km). And smashed a bunch of personal records in the mean time. Felt incredible.

What went well

Had a meeting with Diversity and Inclusion that went really well. They’re very focussed on creating user centred, accessible content which is awesome to be involved with. I also created some example user personas for them along with some minor website improvement suggestions.

Had a good mini pair-writing session to discuss our intranet booking leave pages.

Met up with the DCMS product and user experience team on Wednesday and it was great to meet them all properly. We got to speak through our experiences, what we’ve achieved, and the challenges that we face. We’re all coming from the same place, and it was just a really good vibe. Looking forward to some 1-on-1 time with their content designer too.

And in some last minute news on Friday, I found out we received a huge number of responses on the BFI NETWORK short film fund user survey. Absolutely chuffed to bits to be going through the responses and making a report on them in due course!

What could have gone better

There should be a word for the sadness you feel when a colleague leaves.

Hayfever sesason is officially here.
