Headlines:

Been sleeping badly this week for no reason. I feel tired right up to the moment I get into bed then it’s šŸ’„BAMšŸ’„: the entire Taste song by Sabrina Carpenter plays in my head.

Oh, I leave quite an impression……

šŸ–±ļøWork

Intranet workshop and designing

Ran a small empathy mapping workshop with Rhoda and Jill to burrow down into what a new starter at the BFI would need to see and do when they start. We’re hoping that the findings in this workshop will feed into a new starter section on the intranet, that will help people who’ve joined the BFI to integrate in a quick, easy and friendly way.

Inclusion mandate - workshop planning

Have met with the Inclusion team a few times now, and things are starting to look a bit more practical, which is really helpful for me. With ADHD comes executive dysfunction, which means I can really [struggle with long-term visions](https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/symptoms/23224-executive-dysfunction#:~:text=Trouble planning or carrying out a task because you can’t visualize the finished product or goal.) without tangible actions and solid plans. I’ve been planning a bit of a workshop that should help us formalise some concrete objectives for this work.

Apply for British certification - ongoing

Had a great chat with the Certification team this week. They’re keen to improve the content and structure of their pages, and we even spoke about creating some ā€˜first time applicants’ guidance, which is something I’ve been keen to try for fund guidelines - so this will be a great test to see how it can work!

šŸæ Watching

My girlfriend and I recently got Odeon Limitless, so I saw two films at the Odeon this week.

Companion (2025) ****⭐⭐⭐

Detective Chinatown 1900 (2025) ⭐⭐

At home on Valentine’s Day, we re-watched Night of the Living Dead (1968) (⭐⭐⭐⭐), which was very romantic.

šŸ“š Books

I’m sure this will surprise no one but I’m still reading War and Peace, and expect to be for the foreseeable.
